Abstract
|

|
Although it has often been recommended in the past that clinical evaluation be delayed until 1 year of unprotected intercourse has passed it is now believed that the initial screening of the man should be considered whenever the patient presents with the chief complaint of infertility.
The evaluation of the male partner of an infertile marriage should enable the recognition of factors which are known to be associated with infertility in order that the couple may be given an accurate prognosis and appropriate treatment.
